Early morning, looking NW from the city over Carlton Gardens and the Royal Exhibition Building, with the Melbourne Museum partly visible beyond.
The Exhibition Building was completed in 1880 and is World Heritage-listed. In contrast, the museum was built in 2001, shifting from the city premises on the corner of Swanston and LaTrobe streets, which is now used by the State Library.
